SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

Deadline: Monday, August 31, 2020

                    8:59am - Chicago: GMT-6:00

All submitted abstracts will undergo a blind peer review for quality of research, educational or scientific content, logical presentation and impact on healthcare. All accepted abstracts may be displayed as posters or presented orally at GEST Asia 2020.


Electronic Submission

All abstracts must be submitted electronically via the official GEST Asia 2020 abstract submission website by the deadline. Paper or emailed abstract submissions will not be accepted. 


Notification of Acceptance

Notification of acceptance or rejection will be informed to abstract submitters by email by end of September 2020. Considering your preference, however, GEST Asia 2020 reserves the right to select and assign the abstracts relevant to the sessions for oral or poster presentation.

Please check spam filters or junk folders for notification emails. It is the responsibility of the abstract submitter to relay all correspondence to abstract authors. Authors whose abstracts are selected will be responsible to complete registration payment by October 10, 2020.


Financial Disclosure

Author(s) are required to complete a financial disclosure when submitting an abstract. Industry cannot be presenters if the content of the abstract relates to the business lines and products of its employer.


Prior Presentation / Publication

The author must affirm that the material herein is his/her own and that it will not have been published as a manuscript prior to presentation at the GEST Asia 2020. Also, authors must affirm that if this abstract has been presented previously, the conference location and date are identified. Abstracts previously presented, accepted for presentation, or submitted for presentation at any other conference may be submitted for presentation. However, if another professional organization has publication rights to the work, the work cannot be submitted to GEST Asia 2020 unless the author obtains a written waiver from the other professional organization.

Abstract Format 

Title: 20 words at maximum. DO NOT use all capitals. Must be Initial Capital / lower case. The title should be brief and descriptive.

Abstract Body: 250 words at maximum. A structured abstract is recommended (e.g. Purpose, Materials and Methods, Results and Conclusion). Actual data (with statistical significance) should be included in the Results. The conclusions should be drawn directly from the results of the study. Do not re-enter the abstract title or the authors' names/institutions. Abstracts should NOT include, graphics, figures, photographs, references and credits. The text must be left justified without indent. Symbols, Greek letters, and special characters are required to use the respective code.
